This course focuses on written communication. It is designed to improve basic skills in reading and writing English. It includes emphasis on spelling, vocabulary and grammar.
English Communication – Beginning/Intermediate/Advanced
This course focuses on oral communication. It is designed to improve basic skills in listening to and speaking English. The course emphasizes correct pronunciation and spontaneous speaking. Each course develops skills to a higher level progressing to an advanced class in conversation and effective use of English.
Reading Comprehension 1-2
This course is designed to develop reading and comprehension skills. Students read simplified versions of great English (British, American and some Asian) novels. In addition to improving skills in reading, vocabulary and grammar, students also develop thinking skills and overall language usage (such as speaking and writing) as well as an appreciation and enjoyment of literature the course develops acquainting students with terminology and reading on other subjects in the fields of humanities, social sciences, and science and technology.
Business English 1-3
This course is designed to focus on the English skills required for general office and business. Students learn how to answer the telephone in a professional manner, take messages, send faxes, write business letters, schedule appointments and other such skills. This course focuses on the study and practice of business terminology in order to further develop practical skills in English usage in the business circle.
