Introduction to Basic Biology
This courses intends to cover basic biology including topics such as how the human body works and how the body is organized into cells, tissues and organs, how the process of evolution produces new species, how genes carry information from parents to children, how human diseases such as cancer and diabetes occur. This class includes a practical laboratory element, in which the students will encounter first-hand experience of some of the theorical aspects taught in class.
Introduction to Basic Science
Students will develop an understanding of basic physics and mathematics. Students will touch on basic mechanics in physics, such as motion of bodies with constant speed and constant acceleration, forces, work, energy and waves. Practical experiments will be completed throughout the semester to compliment to theoretical teaching and demonstrate the principles learnt in lectures.
