Contributions

FGCC has been able to operate successfully for so many years due to the generous donation of time and attention from many volunteers. The college has also benefited from the financial gifts of the following individuals who we would like to acknowledge and thank for their efforts.

Marcus Butler, Southern California Educator and Businessman
In 2002, Marcus donated all of the computer equipment that allowed us to launch our computer education programs. With his donation, we were able to buy and network 10 state of the art computers in our new computer lab. The computer lab is now known as the Marcus Butler Computer Center. In 2004, Marcus made another generous donation, which allowed us to purchase additional computer hardware. Also in 2004, Marcus sent an extensive set of computer training materials, which we have already been able to incorporate into our instruction. Thank you Marcus for almost single-handedly sponsoring our leap into the computer age.

Library Donation - Australia
Gary Joss and his wife Chay volunteered at FGCC in 2002, assisting FGCC Library as well as teaching. As a qualified teacher and librarian Gary secured books from schools and libraries in Australia, and with the financial assistance of his local Lions Club International the books were received at FGCC, boasting the quality and quantity of books for students and staff use.
Gary and Chay returned to return to FGCC in November 2004 to continue their work. Thank you for all your hard work so far.

International Merit Scholarship Program
In 2004, Maxim and Kristyn initiated the International Merit Scholarship program for two of the most motivated and hard-working students to be selected by the faculty each semester. Many of our students come from poor backgrounds and are struggling to make ends meet while continuing their studies. Thank you to Maxim and Kristyn for easing the burden. International Science Merit Scholarship
In 2004, the Science Department at FGCC created the International Science Merit Scholarship to encourage interest in science at FGCC. The award is given to the student who demonstrates the best attitude toward learning science. This award is not meant to reward the student with the highest grades, but rather to recognize the student who puts forth the most effort during the course of their study of science.

How to help
FGCC is a privately funded education project, and often finance is not available to spend on ample resources that benefit the students. If you feel that you can help FGCC to build up its education resources in the way of books, financial donations or expertise, please do not hesitate to contact us via email to .
