Mr. Thongchai Philadittha // Noom
I was known by Dr. Pramote Nakhornthab. Before I finished high school I met him at English Camp and he asked me about my family and my future. I wanted to study in the Royal Thai navy school. After I passed my exams I changed my mind. I was interested in studying abroad and I went to meet Dr. Pramote at FGCC. So he let me know Mr. Samran and suggested that I studied at FGCC. At that moment, I suddenly decided to study at FGCC. Two months passed, I fell in love with the English language. My great expectation was to finish at FGCC, improve my English and spend time with foreign teachers to practice English and learn about western culture. I have a lot of good friends from around the world now. They are very kind and helpful. I have studied at FGCC for 2 years. I am now studying at Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok. I major in English and minor history. I major in English because I want to continue studying English and I want to be fluent in English and want to speak English well as an English speaker. At this time my grade point is very satisfying, I got 2.56 and this semester I want to get higher more than ever.
FGCC helped me a lot. At the beginning, I did not know English. FGCC helped me to be confident in speaking English when I faced a farang. I can read English text books, poems, novels etc. If I hadn't studied at FGCC, I could not be in this position. Finally, I truly want to thank FGCC a lot. This is from the bottom of my heart.

Ms. Kannika Lakhum // Poo
I was one of FGCC's student, I started in 2001 and finished in 2003. Now I'm studying English Communication at Ramkhamheang University, also I'm working with Travel-to-Teach volunteer organization as my part time job. I work as volunteer coordinator and help international volunteers with Thai language and translation.
From my study experience in FGCC, I learnt many different things besides learning English. It got me to know different cultures, traditions, and another languages such as Japanese, Spanish, France and so on from the western part of the world. All of these things help very much with my job and my study. From then till now, I would like to thank you FGCC for giving me such a wonderful thing in my life.

Graduate opportunities

Internships at Salaya Pavilion Hotel

Within the period of up to 12 months after graduation from FGCC, students are offered internship opportunities at the Salaya Pavilion Hotel and Training Center, Mahidol University International College (MUIC). The internship, for a minimum period of 4 months, is related to the Travel Industry Management training offered to non-MUIC students throughout Thailand.

The number of students accepted each time varies with qualifications of the candidates and depends on training capacity at Salaya Pavilion Hotel and Training Center. The selected trainees will be rotated through four departments: Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Kitchen. They will be provided with free room and board, and a monthly cash allowance of 1,000 baht per person.

The student trainees will also have the chance to take the Institutional TOEFL examination. Those who excel in the examination will be invited to study at Mahidol University International College. There is also the possibility of scholarship grants to cover tuition fees.

Each student applicant is required to submit a resume and undergo an interview conducted in English. The most recent round of selection occurred in December 2004 in Nong Khai where FGCC applicants were interviewed by Dr. Tongchai Savasdisara, General Manager of Salaya Pavilion Hotel and Training Center. Two male and two female students were selected for internships.
